this command is going to 'traverse' command...asking for occ and bs. anybody else seeing this?
build 130120.
Thanks in advance,
jeff
Not sure what your asking, but you can used extender and traverse a line by bearing distance. You will not get a closure report this way. You can use enter deed decription and get closure.
Not sure of your question either, but I create points.
I do OP on the command line, Occupy Point,
T on command line starts the traverse, then respond no to BS
IA, Inverse Area, by points, point-string gives me the traverse closure.
IA, line & arcs, will not handle an open figure.

He's saying that when he selects "line by angle-distance" it invokes the "traverse" command and asks for the occupied and backsite points insted of just asking for the beginning point and then bearing and distance. Sounds like something got scrambbled on the load up.
Click on "traverse" and see if it then runs the "line by angle-distance" command??? Sounds like you may need to reload the software.
Call Carlson Support first though. They may already have a fix on hand.
Also be real sure that your tired eyes and a goofy mouse has let you click on the correct item. When I have worked WAY too long on a drawing, I can make Carlson do some really weird stuff.:-$
that depends on what angle code you enter...if you chose angle code 1, 2, 3 or 4 or 5 no pts are necessary..start the command click anywhere for a start point and then type h for help
When I run it, it asks to pick a point or point number. You can do it either way, it's not traversing.
Not true. plreport will give a closure.
thanks guys. i had just set up a new machine. went back to old machine and got correct the menu setting.
The Better Question Is.......
How do you do a perp. Inverse using SurvCE?
:-@
The Better Question Is.......
Cogo, Point Projection, Define Line, Enter 2 points or 1 point and azimuth, Green Check Mark, Enter Point # to inverse, Results below without even having to jump to the next field.
Stephen Ward, You are the MAN
I have been trying to figure that out for a while.
