I can label lines and curves, but is there a way to add labels between picked points, nodes, endpts, etc?
i.e. Do you have to draw a line between two pts before you can label?

I don't have C3D in front of me, but couldn't you just use the linear or aligned dimension command and pick node to node?
What Rob said (for partial distances on lines at least). We created a dimension style (without the arrows and dimension lines) that does the job adequately. I don't know what to tell you about curves other than you'll have to draw curves on top of curves (considered a definite no-no in the past.

I know this post is a little old but there's two other ways you could do this which may or may not be more useful to you.
First, the simple way is to just draw lines between your points/nodes and either make sure it is on a layer that is set to No Plot or that it is a color that doesn't plot. This way you could see the line in your dwg and might make it quicker to see what that bearing/distance is labeling.
If having the labeled line visible in the drawing is a problem then my other option is simple too. Just draw a line/polyline between any points/nodes and then make it an Alignment. Now you can apply any label you want between the PI's of the alignment to represent your bearings/distances/azimuths/stations/etc. When you're done, simply change the Alignment Style so that all lines and curves are OFF. This will leave the label but make the lines disappear in your drawing.
