I was doing some tinkering with a free trial of Civil 3D and I thought it might come with a huge library of symbols and linetypes.?ÿ That doesn't seem to be the case.?ÿ Does anyone know of a good free download or even a paid download in an app store of pre-made blocks and linetypes?

If you can get someone to send you their template drawing, then should have what you need.

Shoot me an email.?ÿ I like to think I have a decent template, with blocks, linetype, descriptor keys, field to finish commands.?ÿ If nothing else, it should give you a pretty good jumping off point.

I utilize survey databases and the points are to be imported.?ÿ

There are a lot of websites where you can download ready made drawings. But for C3d a good way to get started is to google for some template drawings. A lot of public agencies, cities, and DOTs have them freely available for consultant use.?ÿ

@bradl?ÿ Sounds good, I would use the database for the auto-linework as well.

@bstrand

For the auto-linework, ie/ field to finish, you will need the "Figure Style Database" and "Linework Code Set" files as well as the template.?ÿ
