Do you make your own?

I have been revising my blocks and was looking for ideas of goodies to add. Most have wipeouts embedded along with rotation and text attributes. The block can rotate and the text won't. Then the text can be slid around and a double click allows for that customization.

I've made hundreds of blocks over the last 20 years. I like my dynamic block for a guy wire symbol.

I like mine too. But I tend to rely on my friends on the interweb to have mine made, since I am just a dumb dirt sirveyur.

What does it do? Rotate to pole and stretch wire to pole?

Yep, either or both.

Made it, needs some fine tuning but I like it. Better than a pline between the block and the pole.

I use customized dynamic blocks for:

  • A graphic scale, one block with multiple scale visibility options (controlled by visibility)
  • Trees that I can key in or drag the trunk or canopy diameter;
  • Guy wire as mentioned with stretch and rotate functions;
  • Spot elevations (dot, leader and attributes) with polar stretch functions to help clear up cluttered areas.

The only annoying feature is that they become anonymous blocks. You can rename them individually of course but it's a pain sometimes. Does anyone know how to rename more than one anonymous block at a time?
