I run civil 3d 2010 and do not have an Autodesk subscription.
I need to convert some 2015 drawings and was going to install TrueView for that reason. Prior to running the install, I was reading the EULA and got cold feet.
My concern: If I install TrueView, will I cross the magical barrier and be forced to relinquish or destroy my 2010 product (burden of proof laying with me, of course)?
Thanks in advance, all.
I'm thinking you will be just fine. At work, I have the latest Trueview installed and Autocad lt 2012, no issues or conflicts.
10-4. Thx.

I've read, here, that installing TrueView causes all sorts of conflicts when trying to open and work on drawings.
proceed with caution; carry on....
I have DWG Gateway installed into ACAD 2006 and it has never caused a problem.
Don't know why I didn't search here, first.
Thanks, Radar. I went ahead and installed. Funny thing, it asked if TV should be the default for .dwg. I said 'no' and it did it anyway.
I simply right-clicked on one of my dwg's and did "open with" and a check on "make this the default". Seems to have gone back to civil 3d as the default.
Next funny thing: when I opened TV the second time, it asked if I wanted to be a part of the CIP (consumer involvement program). I wanted to say 'no' but, there was no apparent way to opt out!
If anyone knows how to turn that off, I would appreciate a guide. (I've searched the web... guess I need to search here :snarky: ).
