AutoCAD Image Clip

We have .cal files of county road maps we use for vicinity maps. We insert these as raster images and then use the image clip command to get the portion of the image we need.

I've noticed that on many old drawings that I've opened, the image is no longer clipped, and instead the entire image is displayed.

I'm using AutoCAD 2006, but the drawing may have last been saved from a slightly different version.

Might not be the answer ur looking for but you could insert the image into model space and create a view in paperspace for the vicinity map.

Maybe try, Modify - Object - Image - Frame - Off
