Just upgraded to the latest AutoCAD software and I am plotting some PDF's. I have the FRAME system variable set to "0", which should mean the PDF frame is not displayed or plotted (which is what I want).

In model space the frame is not visible, however in paper space, it appears as a fine dashed line, which gets plotted.

Does anybody know what setting controls this?

IMAGEFRAME is set to "0" as well, if that matters.

Thanks

My CAD has been doing this for years. How are you making the PDF's? Using print or export PDF?

I inserted some PDF's that were submitted to me by a consultant. I used the PDFATTACH command. The dashed outline did not appear or plot in version 2014.

To be clear, I don't want the PDF's to have a dashed outline plotted.

I guess that must be a "feature".

I have always used xref or im (image) to attach PDF 's. An don't have an issue with an image frame being visible.
I use an xref layer to turn on or off in view port, or 2015 has an image display on/off feature in the ribbon.

My situation is something different. I've inserted in a image and when I print a pdf a get a dashed image around the image box. Set image frame to off and it still appears.

I have had this happen sometimes before and you need to do an IMAGEFRAME (1) and the reset it back to (0)

Sometimes using the TFRAMES command will get it to work (this toggles frames in general on or off).

There have been times when I had to quit and restart AutoCAD to get it to work correctly.

And once, I had to have my tech person get in and fiddle with one of the .ini files (I think, I don't know, I'm a surveyor not a computer technician) to get it to work properly.

Thanks, I will try inserting differently.

The FRAME command variable appears to also toggle the PDFFRAME variable. I have both set to "0"
