Sounds interesting, but their broken links don't exactly inspire confidence.....
Just clicked on it, works fine...
it looks like it is a $500 package with BricsCAD included, but who knows... I guess you have to go for the whole dog and pony show to find out.
BricsCAD does have a Linux version, but who knows with BricsCAD Surveyor... their advertising budget seems rather small 🙂
I seem to remember some of the Aussie surveyor's talking about this cad program with great enthusiasm....
I trialled it along with toolpac
I didn't spend enough time with it due to job time constraints and trial period ended.
It wasn't as powerful as Microsurvey and I was having trouble with the USA setup.
But Toolpac is excellent so to be fair to Mapworks both are written by same and that says a lot.
Bricscad is definitely a solid and robust Cad option.
Isn't Jim Frame using this? Try the search button.
I believe that Jim uses BricsCAD, this seems to be something else based on BricsCAD.

Yes, I'm running bare BricsCAD with my own custom software.
Jim would you enlighten me (us) on what your custom software does please?
I'm curious.
Rumor has it that it was developed by some of the same folks that developed Softdesk.

In general: raw data conversion, f2f, cogo, various map annotations, description writing, and an assortment of data parsing/reporting operations. It's not a single application, but rather a collection of nearly 500 AutoLISP functions that are tightly tailored to my workflow and computer systems.
