I have some data where the PC entered the wrong backsight number a couple of times on a traverse.
How do I change that?

Thanks in advance

You can fix it with Trimble's DC file editor utility. Once the points are edited you can upload the job back to the controller and adjust the traverse.

You may be also be able to fix the points in General Survey. Try going to Jobs->review job and see if you can change the data there.

Easier to fix in TBC itself.

I usually do it from an "Optical View" spreadsheet. Then it will ask if you want to merge with the point number that already exists...

Its been a while, but I thought you could only change foresights under the optical spreadsheet view...

Is this from pre-existing control, or was this the first run through the traverse? Did you get any errors on import?

Ralph - if your license is current you may want to consider installing the latest release (3.30) - this is from the release notes:

You're right, I didn't realize that - just tried it.

You can edit them in TBC, though, by expanding the Backbearing entry under station setup > select baksight observation > edit properties
