Per my other thread, I am a rookie running an old Geodimeter and do not have the time or ability to connect to any anything modern.?ÿ Due to a serious lack of programs in the instrument, I am very limited in what I can do with it so I really need to find an app where I can just manually peck in the data.?ÿ My frustration here seems to be finding the middle between pathetic 'free' apps that are very limited, if they even work correctly, and VERY expensive and unneeded programs with 3D simulation, etc.?ÿ?ÿ
All I am looking for is something that will do simple math between collected points, convert units, and have a good and usable database that can be exported.?ÿ I think it could get expensive buying several cheap apps at the google store just to see if they work.?ÿ I am fine paying for something decent.?ÿ?ÿ
Ultimately all this data will get put into Autocad through Excel.?ÿ I find most free apps lack things like notes on points, or even making more than one data set.?ÿ Hell with most, if you hit one wrong button, you will leave the app and all data is lost.?ÿ?ÿ
You might want to search through the NGS free programs. You might find something there to suit your needs.
