Hi. My boss suggested I look on this website to ask questions about autocad.
when I open a the file I use for everything it has the title block and line library. There are some things that are suppose to be certain colors like 146 54 and 74. I always have to enter those colors in the drawing file. Is there a way to save those colors so when I open the file they will all ready be there?
thanks
Look into creating a .dwt file (drawing template). You can have your settings, standard layers/colors etc set up in that file and every time you start a new drawing it pulls from there.
You could save a layer state.
Plotter CTB?
Back in AutoCAD 10 I was perfectly happy with 16 colors.
Today I use the first 8 and maybe less than 8 others. Plotted lineweight is based on colors and I like to be able to differentiate layers by colors and linetype. I hate seeing a drawing with 256 colors just to prove that someone can.
Have a plotter, printer and color .ctb files plus those needed when working in other's drawings.

How do you "enter colors"? Or save colors? I don't understand your question. :-S
