Hi,
Using Carlson Survey 2013.
- What is the best way to bring a Google Earth image into my drawing of a boundary?
Client wants to see swamp/creek and some other features. Accuracy not an issue.
- Are there any copyright issues doing this?

If your drawing is in state plane coordinates, type google_image on the command line and follow prompts.
Many Google Images Do Not Belong To Google
I believe most of the relavent ortho rectified photos come from state agencies.
While many forms of images are importable, my preference is still a .tif.

Can you emport a KMZ file out of Carlson? If so, you could just send the KMZ to your client and they can see it in Google Earth. Civil 3D does it!

That's a great option I had not thought of. Thanks.
Obviously I meant "export"!

😀 Funny, I read right over that as export and never saw your spelling error until you pointed it out. But fooling me with spelling is no great achievement. Never been no good with grammar or spelling.
