I have a site that is on a local calibration (5000,5000) type of deal from a long-ago contractor. It's the system we're stuck using. I went out and created a site calibration based on his control, no problems there.

Now, I need to drop in some LIDAR surface points into the project drawing, but they need to come in on the calibrated (assumed) coordinate system. Whatever I try, they still come in on the state plane system.

The calibration parameters do not include a vertical incline plane, so that part should be as simple as just adjusting all points up or down a certain amount. Maybe I could manually translate/rotate the points, but I shouldn't have to consider doing any of this automatically. Please help!

I trust you still have the original observations you made prior to the site calibration in the state plane system. That means it's the same system as the lidar data you mentioned, so can't you run the lidar and original GPS data through the same transformation parameters you used to achieve the desired result?

I have the original unaltered GPS field data, and Trimble Business Center processes that into the calibration. The question is, how do I get it to process a SHP file of the points in the same way?

Put the lidar points into a TBC file in state plane, export them in lat long format to a csv file.

then insert them into a TBC file as lat, long with the same calibration applied to that file as the 5000, 5000 file.

Easy way to do that is export a control point out of the TBC calibrated 5000, 5000 file as a .dc file and import it into the blank file as a .dc file, you will then have a calibrated TBC file with your control, which you can upload the lat longs from the lidar file, they should exactly match the xy of the 5000, 5000 file.

Brilliant! That worked just like I wanted. Where were you two days ago!?

If, and it's a big if; they can send to you their lat long info (if they used GPS) they you can setup everything before you leave the shop.
