Playing around with latitude.
From here, heading west along the latitude line, would hit the Pacific Ocean just south of San Francisco at Mussel Rock Park.
Keep going west and would hit Japan, not far from a certain power plant.
From here, heading east along the latitude line, would hit the Atlantic Ocean near Locustville, Maryland.
Keep going east and would hit Portugal, near Almograve.
about 001å¡30' North of your landmarks
How about that. The same two states and the same two countries.
3,000' East of here I would hit Lewis Wharf in Boston Harbor.
14,173,700' (more or less...) west and I hit a little South of Gold Beach Oregon.
Going west I arrive at The Cape Mears lighthouse and CORS station CHZZ near Tillamook, OR.
Going east I run into Lake Michigan north of Green Bay. Should I continue, most of the remainder of my trip would be through Canada, and pass near Montreal and Quebec City. Continuing east I'd pass into northern Maine before reentering Canada and hitting the Atlantic shore on the Bay of Fundy between St.John and Moncton, New Brunswick.
Going west: Vandenberg AFB, Calif then across the Pacific to Tahara, Japan.
Going east: Smyrna, North Carolina then across the Atlantic to between Moulay Bousselham and Ben Mansour, Morocco.
But I'd probably stop at either Queen Wihelmina State Park, AR or Memphis, TN and call it good.

Maybe I'm a bit twisted but I find this sort of thing entertaining.
Another thing is to draw a circle with you at the center. Where would you be at say 200 miles or 500 miles or 1200 miles? Although the same distance away, one place may seem much closer to you than another.
As an example, the distance to the far corner of my home state would also get me to South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Louisiana. Another 25 miles or so would get me to Alabama.
Interesting.... I'm on the same as Okinawa.
