.....Do Not Enter signs actually have in parentheses "Except for you." in very small print. So you can drive the wrong way anyway.

.....The same with One Way signs. They do not apply to you.

......Detour signs mean that you can drive around them and enter the street anyway. If you can't drive through because of construction, throw a big fit and demand an explanation on why they suprised you with a street closure.

That reminds me of an incident near my home when I was a teenager.
Two old bachelor brothers, Jake and John, were in a pretty bad car wreck one day. John, the driver, had turned left in front of a car and both were totaled with some slight injuries. When the Sheriff asked John what happened he said it was the other driver's fault. "He should have known I was going to turn there, I do it EVERY DAY".

Around here, people regularly make right turns from the left lane at the last possible moment and wonder why other folks get pissed when almost getting hit because they are "in the way" or "should have known"......
