i did not catch weather report. i was a little too young.
second best show would have been Fishbone, just last winter. 'h.r.' from Bad Brains came up on stage to rap with Angelo Moore, Norwood was the usual monster on bass, and Angelo even rocked the Theremin

I saw Fishbone 2 or 3 times, 20 years ago, I was still in High School. They put on a crazy show. Primus opened for them once, another guy that rocks the bass.

Yeah, Fishbone is a talented band. Les Claypool, the bassist and founding member of Primus, once auditioned for Metallica after Cliff Burton died.

wow, hard to imagine les in metallica. somehow he could find a way to make it work. brilliant man.
by the way, did you know les asked/had tom waits do the vocal solo for "tommy the cat". he thought it was too fast and tongue twisty for him, so he called tom. one of my favorite pieces of nearly useless trivia.
Genesis, October 2007, Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, CA. Last concert for Phil Collins and the rest of the band. He has since retired from performing after nerve damage in one of his wrists won't allow him to play drums any more.

R.E.M. - Avalon Theater, Hollywood, CA, October 29, 2003 - Fan Club show. About 500 in attendance. 10 feet from the stage. 3 hours long, non-stop rush.
