Their company profile makes them out to be anything but land surveyors, real estate agents and property appraisers, yes, resolve that boundary conflict? No can do. Then of course the Romans sorted out all of that some time ago and built some wonderful baths while they were at it.
Role of the land surveyor in UK is very much different in scope if services.
Construction management
and development planning are prominent and respected professional services. Bath is a perfect example of town design that starts with the Tomans and extends to the 18th century.
Nazi blitz caused some destruction.
Short treks to various Neolithic sites from Bath.
Silsbury Hill, Stonehenge and Avebury.
There's a chance to recover some old stones at Avebury. Even in the road.
Chartered Surveyors in Ireland and the UK have different professional groupings which are-
Building Control, Building Surveying, Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution, Environment, Facilities Management, Geomatics, Machinery & Business Assets, Management Consultancy, Minerals & waste, Planning & development, Personal Property/Arts & Antiques, Project Management, Residential Property, Rural, Valuation
Looks like the one above is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor.
I am a Chartered Geomatics Surveyor.
I just liked seeing the word "surveyor" and thought it was worth a photo.
We toured Stonehenge yesterday. That was sort of a bucket list item for me, having been aware of the site since childhood (as I expect most kids are). Seeing it in person was definitely worth the price of admission
Who is the dopey looking fella with his mouth hanging open?

My first experience there was in September 1969, hitchhiking and walking from Amesbury just after dark and then finding a stand of trees to roll out my sleeping bag. At first light I woke to the sound of a flock of crows and sat up and saw Stonehenge in the near distance with a ground mist that made it look like it was floating above a cloud. I walked across the fields and watched the sun come up from the inner circle. Back then there was no fencing, no parking lot, no entrance fee, no interpretative centre or gift shop. A wonderful memory. The only thing that "spoiled" it was when I lined up the heel stone with the circle, to where the sun comes up on the summer solstice, and there, at the road, was a large sign at the A360 saying the "Amesbury bypass was being built by the McAlpine Brothers"

One has to hold one's mouth just so in order to make the photo turn out well.

When you get as old as me sometimes your mouth hangs open for no reason at all. :p

Maybe he was just in awe of us Chartered Surveyors.
