Just wanted to let everyone know that I am on Day 6 of a horrible, horrible flu. I don't remember having a flu this bad since childhood. Today is the most human I've felt in almost a week. I'm not completely well but I feel like I'm finally climbing out of the hole.
All that just to say sorry to anyone that may have been waiting for me to get back to them for one reason or another. I'm hoping to be back in the saddle by tomorrow, or Wednesday at the latest.

It hit our house Saturday evening with my youngest daughter coming down with Flu B symptoms. Took her in today, and they put her on Tamiflu. Nurse Practitioner said it would be at lest Thursday before she could go back to school, even if she was fever free.
I'm knocking on wood that I don't get it. But if I do get it I'll blame it on you for sending it through BeerLeg. Bet you didn't know that could happen, did you? 🙂
My 10days of flu is about a week behind me.
During that time, I absolutely stopped production work wise.
It took everything out of me and my fever would not go away with normal treatments until the sweats broke out.

That's never good, and hang in there. I'm the 4th in this household of 4 to contract some weird bug where we don't know whether to sit, squat, kneel down, lay down, or just punt. That was yesterday for me, today isn't so great but better. It kicked the 2 month preggo step daughters butt, but the rest of us seem to have a couple day cycle. I'm the only non-smoker and maybe there is cause & effect there that's helped at least me, plus I make a point for a walk and some fresh air.
All is ok, so it seems around here. Get well Wendell and keep to yourself and drink lots of water.
My wife is a Nurse Practitioner. When she was in private practice she had patients come in and say "I think I've got the flu", to which she would reply: "You don't have the flu. If you can get out of bed and come into the office, you don't have the flu." That is one mean bug, even as bad as they missed with this years vaccine, I STILL recommend getting a flu shot every year.

My daughter has not been out of the bed since Saturday night except to go to the doctor, and us to make her eat and drink, She feels horrible. It is really scary for us because she had an asthma attack this morning before we got up. It must have been bad because my wife said she had that scared look on her face.
God bless you Jimmy. As a parent it is much harder to watch our critters go through things like that. Better me IMVHO than to see that stuff with our youngin's. Most of us been around the proverbial block, but they are still trying to understand something that most of us don't know shinolla about. Just that it sucks.
