I have always had problems with socks sliding down but the last few months has been worse. I put on a brand new pair last week and then took the dogs walking, still slid down. Finally I thougth "maybe it's not the socks".
I started using O'Keeffes Health Feet and problem solved. New socks, old socks, doesn't matter. They all stay up.

I haven't tried the foot cream, but I use the hand cream during the winter months.?ÿ ?ÿIt is amazing how wet show will suck the moisture right out of your hands.?ÿ I used to get splits in my finger tips and this stuff helps heal those.?ÿ ?ÿI don't get them anymore because I use the stuff regularly.?ÿ?ÿ
Maybe they could market something to those fellas whose pants are saggin to give them a little help.

It is called: fallen down sock syndrome.
It usually manifests itself in oversized winter boots, but sometimes shows itself in work boots too.?ÿ
It comes in 2 varieties: Wrap around the heel, or the more dreaded balled around your toes.
There is no known cure, and it randomly manifests itself, then becomes a chronic problem.?ÿ

So.....these Nike socks, do they have some form of embroidering to indicate left and right. I realize the left and right foot curves in different manners but after a couple of times wearing and washing them it seems they would be indistinguishable without some form of marking.
The have an L and a R on them.?ÿ My wife laughs when I end up with two L's or two R's and don't have a mate for them.
AND1 socks have an R and a L on them, I got green cammo and a black cammo pairs.
Several years ago I started wearing the massaging socks like soccer players wear and they do not slip down and I must peel them off. They do their job very well. They are very thin and I must wear a warmer cover sock over them in the winter.
It is so difficult to find a good simple crew sock that is really cotton.
Many say cotton and in some third world country it is probably the closest thing to cotton they have,however the material is not soft and smooth and washing and softner does not help.
I switched from cotton socks to wool socks years ago. My feet stay drier and are really comfortable. The bass pro ones have a lifetime warranty, if they wear out they just give you another pair.
I also like wool socks but it has to be pretty cold before they aren't to warm for me.?ÿ The Nike ones I wear are called "Dri Fit", and the fact that they are right and left fitted to your feet doesn't really have anything to do with he quality, its the material.?ÿ The socks that slide down seem to grab your boot as you move, and end up sliding down.?ÿ The better socks seem to slide around in your boots better and not grab.
I wear smart wool year round. Very comfortable regardless of the weather..
Has anyone tried these 'Darn Tough' socks? They're expensive, but made in the US and have a life time warranty. The last couple years these are about all I use any more. I'll buy a couple pairs when I'm feeling flush, but the one's I've been using for years have held up remarkably well. The only problems I've ever had with socks sliding down in my boots are with cheap cotton socks made in Pakistan or some other exotic place and after a number of washes they lose their elasticity.
