I was just over there and decided to check up on membership because lately I see more new members joining in a day than all members posting.
I checked and found 907 pages with 30 members on each page. My math may be off, but it appears that the average post is once a millenium.
I was totally surprised that one thread had 5 posts today. That is like a traffic jam over there.
It may be like the Hotel California, "You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave."

Yes, I'm a member over there but the site is way too slow to be usable on my dialup.
I never go there anymore. It's kind of sad, because they had a good thing going, and totally blew it. It'd make a great study for some MBA student: "How Not To Implement Technology Change."

Yes, it was almost comical. If they had done nothing to the site, it would still be popular. Seems to me that computer tech. people often feel the need to add bells and whistles just because they are "Nifty", with little thought if the general users will like them.

I think all software projects and web developers should define the oldest user technology they intend to support. Then the demonstration to the customer or company higher-ups should use that years-old computer over dial-up, instead of the latest computer on 100MHz ethernet.
I tried many times to shut off all the spam sales from them. Finally had to send it all to spam via blacklist. Despite their claims that they won't sell your address, despite going to the site to opt-out of all emails, they still keep coming. I haven't been back to the website for over a year now, and won't be anytime soon.
If I could figure out how to stop the mag, I would do that as well.

I just got spammed by them a few days ago...some chicks photo was in the email. BNP media thing. "Click here for your free issue!!" blah blah...
The weird thing is it was to my personal, "secret" email. How they got that email is beyond me!!! 😐
good luck with that- getting rid of the scanner sales flyer POB magazine. I just got an email from them thanking me for renewing.... even though I hadn't..... 😐
Wow, 27,217 members. Are they signing up peopel pothumously from obit notices?
Sounds like they turned their membership recruitment over to ACORN.
cough cough.. bs...cough cough...
I just went over there and poked around for a couple of minutes. Haven't been there in a long time. I clicked on "newest members" ... there were 14 listed ... the last one said:
Michael S has joined the site.

Does that mean they've had 14 new member since late January? I don't see how they could arrive at 27,000 members adding about 5 or 6 a month.

The bogus theory of two section subd. lines!

There will soon be a ruling on this topic and hopefully will open a new line of debate.
We all know of the preaching of Robillard and Bouman on the "true" section subd. line and the property line and that bogus theory should be able to be debated.
I have posted some of this over on Facebook, but not much discussion has come about.
I will not be posting any of my opinions over on the other blog as the host has seen fit to ban me permenently for mispelling (insert phrase banned by Wendell)

Are you sure your complete lack of tact and charm had nothing to do with it?

Keith is not really a bad guy, of course, he just is unable to discuss; he always has to argue, to have an enemy, to attack. He has a chip on his shoulder that's been there most of his life, I'm afraid, for whatever reason.
Keith has a lot of useful knowledge to share if he only could without fighting.

That's cool. If Keith starts posting there regularly, it might just drive the last few posters they still have over here.
