Michael Robinson and a few others step forward to clear their reputations.

A guy goes to a taxidermist and he's holding two dead squirrels.
The taxidermist says "So, do you want them mounted?"
"No, " the guy replies, "Just holding hands."

A father and son went hunting together for the first time. The father said "Stay here and be very QUIET. I’ll be across the field."
A few minutes later, the father heard a blood curdling scream and ran back to his son. "What’s wrong?" the father asked. "I told you to be quiet."
The son answered" "Look, I was quiet when the snake slithered across my feet. I was quiet when the bear breathed down my neck. But when the two squirrels crawled up my pant legs and said, should we eat them here or take them with us? I guess I just panicked"."

How does this harm the reputation of any player on one of those teams?
After all, taking away the wins is not "reality" based, but "administrative".Anyone who evaluates football talent knows what those players did, and their accomplishments can't be taken away by an administrative procedure.
And, let's keep in mind that the whole basis for the cover-up was to protect the football program. See how well THAT worked?

CAn we assume you're a Penn State Alum?
No Jim, Lehigh University
However Lehigh has a part in this whole fiasco. Jeaenne Clery was a Lehigh freshman when she was raped and killed in her Lehigh dorm. The Clery Act resulted after the parents of Jeanne vowed that this should not happen to another student. They used money from an out of court settlement to lobby for notification laws in a number of states, PA being the first, and then a Federal law. The Clerys even paid for an expert to assist Penn State to set up it's program. It appears that Penn State never took the Clery requirements seriously, which makes recent events understandable.
It is my belief that Penn State and PA as a state have too readily transferred all the blame on to a few individuals, rightly or wrongly, cannot be judged from available information. Paterno asked that the early insinuations be thoroughly and professionally investigated. He did not asked to be declared innocent, he only asked that the truth be found. I believe actions by PA, Penn State and the NCAA have sought not to do that.
It is my belief that you are innocent until proven guilty applies to the living and the dead.
I do have Penn State graduate ties, 2 brothers (both are anti Paterno), 1 sister, 1 daughter, 1 son, 2 nephews and 1 niece.

Looks like the PSU Trustees will have a vote to ratify the sanctions.
