This is the latest Will Ferrell movie, co-starring Zach Gallifiknow/Galluhfuneye/Galafenockus/Ga.....Zach What's-His-Name. Anyone old enough to get in without an older person accompanying them should arrive wearing dark glasses, a wig and other disguisery. But, you already knew that, if you've ever seen a Will Ferrell movie.

You will giggle. You will snort. You will roar with laughter and simultaneously realize you have expelled some toxic gases from the lower vent. It may be silly, but, ain't it fun.

Warning: Certain words that include "fu" somewhere within them will be used many, many times. Various names for various body parts, both male and female, will be heard repeatedly, but not in a clinical fashion.

Nevertheless, this is a very entertaining movie that shines a bright light on the follies of politics and the people who enjoy them. There are plenty of cameo appearances to keep even the most jaded viewer alert.

Haven't seen it yet, but probably will.

I did see a trailer that included some interviews with the two stars. Ferrell apparently studied John Edwards to 'craft' his character..that should be hilarious.

Zack what's-his-name has had a bumbling authoritarian character he has used for years in his standup routines that helped shaped his role.

It's probably awfully close to real life..

This is another Hollywood South movie that was filmed entirely in Louisiana even though the setting is supposed to be John Edwards's NC.
It was filmed last year so it was quick edit to the screen.
While filming here, Ferrel did a pretty funny intro at the NBA New Orleans Hornets game

(Slight Hijack) Movie---The Campaign

Speaking of Hollywood South, Robert, have you seen the trailers for some cop show that is set in the aftermath of Katrina? My dottir and I watched the trailer and she said "That looks dumb as he**". Had to agree- it looks totally retarded from what I saw.

The ONLY reason that I may watch this is because it has Zak Galifinakis in it. Will Ferrell movies, since Old School, have gone downhill so fast, that it borders on lunacy. Taladega Nights was mildly funny, but only due to the other actors.

Will Ferrell sucks big time. Anchor Man was 2 hours I'll never get back

No I haven't seen that and maybe don't want to either. Thye still don't get the oacal atmosphere down here in films.
Y'know, one movie of post katrima cop story did in a very graphic and realistic way.
Bad Lieutenant - Port of Call with Nicholas Cage. Whoever did the location scouting was from the city.
Hollywood South is big stuff here as you know. A few films filmed in Covington this summer and they are filming a new Percy jackson film at the katrina closed 6 Flags in N.O. East.
They even have a Hollywood South page in the Business section of the Times-Picayune.

I triy to avoid the TV but I did record and view 2 episodes of Cajun Justice since I have worked around Houma. I didn't like it.

[sarcasm]Sounds like we have an angry elf.[/sarcasm]

Some of his movies are strange/bad, but I can watch Elf every Christmas.

Harold Crick and Buddy

Stranger Than Fiction was his greatest film but nobody liked it because it wasn't Old School or Talledega Nights. It was a masterful film, in my opinion.

Two great movies. I laugh at Elf every time I see it. I forgot all about Stranger than Fiction until I read your post.

“and simultaneously realize you have expelled some toxic gases from the lower vent.”

Your most Holiness,

You are in no way associated, (oh please no) with the following article, are you?

Herald Sun Digital Pass

A GAS leak is thought to be the most likely cause of an explosion that has rocked an Adelaide cinema showing "Movie-The Campaign".

No one was hurt by the explosion under the floorboards of the Capri theatre in Goodwood, near Adelaide's CBD, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) says.

But the building was damaged by the blast at 0930 (CDT).

Firefighters in breathing apparatus checked the heritage-listed cinema but were unable to find the precise cause of the leak. They continue to investigate.

The cinema does not have natural gas connected.

A nearby home was evacuated and parts of Gilbert Street and Goodwood Road were blocked off before gas levels dropped and the area was declared safe.

Y'all have a great week! B-)

That is hilarious considering the comment of mine that you quoted. Perhaps too many movie viewers were venting at the same time.
