Sonic?

Bill,

No more Mac's in Oroville? There's still an A & W in Osoyoos that serves it up in a frosted glass isn't there?

Sonic?

> No "Sonics" around here since they left for OK City and became the Thunder. Nearest MacDonalds is 50 miles away. Sometimes I pass by it on my way to the seat of county government. Yep, this is God's Country. We do have a Canadian town a couple miles north of us, which has just the one Tim Horton's, so we are out in the boonies for sure. I like the pace around here. If I had broadcast TV, I would only get 2 channels. I'd still be doing that if I could get Boise State football without DirecTV.

Well, say "hey" to Paula up to the Breadline restaurant next time you're up there. I went to high school with her, and we visited her hotel (way) back in the day. Still one of my favorite parts of the country there.

I am suprised no one has yet mentioned Flo.

Ditto to those who mentioned pecker-pill Smilin Bob. Thank goodness I haven't seen one of those commercials in quite some time.

However, the most "annoying people" in commercials can not possibly go to a single individual.

I would give that award to all those law suit commercials.

How to deal with Commercials

your own beef; build your own cabin and piss off the front porch whenever you
bloody well feel like it."

Thanks Hole Digger

I knew someone would find one for me. Wilmington is only 3 hours away! (Even in my car)

DJ

It was a lazy-man's way to find where the nearest Sonic is to me. Turns out there's one in MASS.

I gotta say the Iphone one with John Malkovich talking to Siri is pretty silly. Supposedly sophisticated guy laughing at a stupid joke his phone tells him.

Sonic?

Paula and the Breadline are still going strong. She still lives in the old hotel. She's a friend of mine from way back in the day too. A great lady.

Sonic?

Doug,
Oroville ain't the lively little border town that it was back in the 70's-'80's. Folks used to come from miles around and both sides of the border for Saturday night revelry on Main Street. Nowadays, there's not a single tavern or bar to be found. Only place a thirsty traveler can find a drink is at the Eagles lodge. There's three restaurants in town, and they take turns going in and out of business.

Last time I checked the A&W in Osoyoos was still serving up those frosty mugs. Plenty of good restaurants up there, it's a jumpin' joint in the summer months. Although it's only 3 miles away, I don't go up there much anymore. The border crossing coming back into the USA has turned into a hassle in recent years. Large and rapidly growing presence of Border Patrol, Customs & Immigration and Homeland Security. Some of them aren't too neighborly either.

Still is a beautiful area though.
