The klr 650 is back. They discontinued it. About 2 yrs ago. But, now it's got EFI, and a few other modifications. I love bikes. Wife does not. I've given her rides. She is upright, uptight, and if I stop, she's out-of-sight! She has never made peace with motorcycles.?ÿ

Anyway, we used to have a guy Wayne, (motorcycle surveyor) I think, who surveyed off a bike. Old forum.

As equipment gets smaller, I think it could work. I'm glad the old KLR is still going to be with us. For a few years more.?ÿ

I have a dodge 3500 extended cab, and polaris ATV I work off of.?ÿ

I guess I just like motorcycles...

Mind is wandering. And it's spring!

Thanks,

Nate

My daily ride is a wee Suzuki DR-Z 250.

But tucked at the back of the garage is a bevelhead Ducati that I've had for while now.

Yesterday I finally got an afternoon to check the tyres, change the fuel, zap the battery, clean the plugs etc etc etc.

And to kick the old girl in the guts.

Not only does it roar, but it runs and idles, and re-starts.

Miracles shall never cease.

All we need now is new a front tyre and a WoF.

Look out Momma, we're making some noise...

I too am a huge fan of the KLR. Such a basic bike that can go anywhere. It would be an awesome bike for surveying.?ÿ

Nate have you read up on the Mil-Spec version of the bike??ÿ

The KLR is way too tall for me along with most other dirt bikes. I have a Suzuki TW200 that fits me just right. Not the fastest bike around by a long shot but that's ok too.

I've been wanting to get a trailer for my road king so I could take it on small jobs like picking up a missed pin or something like that.?ÿ

@kotuku4

diesel seems counter-prodtive. I would have to ride the mil version. But I doubt it would be nearly like the gasser.?ÿ
