Same thing happened to me back a few years ago. Purchased one Golden Retriever in 2001 (Autumn) to appease my daughter, when we moved to our new house, breeding her was out of the question so we got her a sister, Golden Retriever #2 (Winter). We were all good for a while, then my wife got caught up in the drama of a couple at her work that did not want there golden, you guessed it, golden #3 (summer) hits the lottery and is adopted. She is technically a rescue as she was neglected by her first owners. Now she thinks she is a lap dog...she is in my wife's lap right now.

So, three goldens, good thing we can't get a fourth without a kennel license from our city. That's the excuse I am using when people ask when we are getting a Spring.

We had two, a golder retriever/border collie mix and a black lab. The black lab got diabetes and we had to put her down. That hit the golden hard. Now I'm lookin for a second border collie mix (as soon as I convince you know who).
