What was I thinking when I became a Surveyor? I should have been an artist!

The problem with being an artist is that you don't get rich until after you die. Thus the term "starving artist".
Being a starving surveyor is much more conducive to not leaving all your pending riches to 3rd parties who likely are not even your relatives. 😛
