So there I was at Oracle and Ina, sometimes listening to the drivers blaring horns at the doofi trying to make an illegal left turn. There are signs a block away, and there are signs at the intersection, including one very bright LED sign, and still they sit there and pretend they can't read, or understand glyphs. No wonder there are so many accidents. People are dumb! Or obstinate: I want to turn left here, and by golly I'm going to turn here, and I don't care how many cars are stacked up behind me.
20 years ago a traffic engineer told me the only way to stop drivers from turning left is to erect a physical barrier, sign won't do anything.
i think a spike strip or other tire cutting device would be more comical.
In my area a roundabout has pretty much the same effect. I don't know if they think they are on a NASCAR track or just cannot find the exits. o.O
several years ago my wife and I did two week vacation in AZ. Never had any problems except during our drive through Tuscon, we nearly had two car crashes within 10 mins!

You got out lucky. :-O
We lived there for 5 years and got extremely lucky and never experienced a wreck, but we sure seen our share of them and some not real good. :-/
Our auto insurance was the highest there than anywhere else I ever paid in my life.
But...I sure miss Tucson. My family is there and I've always loved the it there. That's where I would spend my childhood summers. I miss sitting on my patio watching the the hot air balloons flying over my backyard. :-$
Isn't that all nascar drivers do is turn left?
:snarky:
B-)
