A few days ago Kent posted a picture of a Texas deer stand made of a 1947 Ford pickup cab. While walking around on the banks of the Flint River in south Georgia I came across the DELUXE model of that Texas deer stand.
Complete with heat/air, power and cots. Who said deer hunting has to be uncomfortable.

So, the idea is that the "hunters" climb up the ladder to the roof to wait for the tame deer to arrive who don't notice them or the sound of the A/C or the generator that is probably powering the A/C?
Kent - I can't explain it. I just saw it and thought it kinda fit in with your Ford cab. It doesn't show up in the photo but it does have a power line running to the "bus".

As in a fence is just a fence, maybe that is just a cabin?
How we do it in Oklahoma.
I saw one recently that was part of a standard grill. The side that holds the utensils and plates, about 4 slats of thin wood screwed onto the framing. That part only was screwed onto the side of a tree. Very budget oriented.

I would be very careful around that thing.
You did say it was on the Flint. Depending on how far south of Hotlanta, could be a meth lab or a liquor still.
Oh Eagle pond is mighty dry.
I always find deer stands an interesting thing. Out west we hunt them from the ground on foot, no stands. It seems a bit unsporting to use a stand to me, BUT there must be different rules and customs in other parts of the country!
We also have a very limited season, I have a friend in Texas that has been going out to her stand for weeks this fall / winter.
Here is a link to the Oregon 2012 Big Game Regs.

That didn't work vey well. But I am sure you gat the point.
Looks like somethibg you would see in the infield at the Daytona 500 except there isn't 3000 beer cans lying around. 😉
I'll have you know
I ALWAYS pick up my beer cans, after the race anyway.
Andy
Ya ride the bike to the stand, since we all know (from watching Okie noodling) that vehicles don't actually run in Oklahoma ........ 😉
