There are people on this Board that are a genuine Christmas presents to all the rest of us. I'm not going to start a list of names but one of the people at the top of the list, if I was making a list, is Loyal Olson. I was helping a friend with some OPUS submissions and we ran into some problems that Loyal was able to help solve on Christmas Eve. Thank you Loyal!!!
The top one and two on my list are Wendell and Angel Harness. Their perseverance has allowed this great site to exist for the benefit of us all.
Aw shucks and golly gee willickers, mister. We're just happy that the naughty list is far and away smaller than the nice list these days. 🙂
It's the folks on the nice list that make this site successful. But thank you for the kind words. We appreciate you!

Don't worry. I'm OK. Yours isn't the first roof I've ever fallen off of.

I actually feel a little guilty now. I pulled one of the 'oldest tricks in the book' on SWMBO....
We had a few smaller gifts for the grandkids left to wrap and I was tasked with the chore. I was watching the third round of "A Christmas Story" and happily 'wrapping' gifts.....and they looked like a mess. The missus just discharged me from my duties and she's in there finishing (re-doing) them up.
Worked last year, too. I'm such a baaadddd man....;)
This is absolutely incredible. Thanks to those who have started the threads below as they have obviously stirred a great many to become more involved both in this site and in the depth of thinking applied to their chosen profession. Note that over 15,000 views have occurred for all of these threads. Can you believe it?

Counsel, as is not unusual, is a bit enthusiastic as to the effect of the evidence in this case.

The greatest gift for me is being part of the boy wonder's growing up, which is happening fast.

Thank heavens his parents get to deal with that. A couple of months ago his mother posted about her concerns, yoyo-ing fever, off his vittles, high temps, I told her, "take him to the ER." So they did, Doc reportedly told them I was right, temp very close to critical, they rehydrated him, they said it was viral. So I don't have to do the medical visit fun. 😉

That's what us Grandparents are for. 😉
My best gift was to know that two more grandkids are due to enter the word come June and July, respectively.
After spending several days sharing of life with his extended multitude of younger cousins from all sides of his elders, the oldest that is fairly new at being 15yo was quoted "does not want a brother and sister". He is quite content in his present solitude.
Gatherings of this season find items leaving my storage buildings for better use.
My wife and I decided to give each other paintings for Christmas this year and worked on them today. She is painting a view of the Chinati Mountains as seen from the road upstream from Presidio and I've been working on a view of Ernst Tinaja, a natural rock basin that fills with runoff, near the Old Ore Road in the eastern part of Big Bend NP. This is a view of mine as a work in progress:
