We arrived home early this week after a two week road trip to Cali.
Drove to San Francisco, then over to the coast at Santa Cruz, then
down to Anaheim, with a stop at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Below are a few pictures, including some of Palm Springs aerial
tramway which has 80 passenger cars with a rotating floor - makes 2 revolutions
per one-way trip.

Elephant seals somewhere on the southern coast

Did you drive down Hwy 1 through Big Sur? My favorite drive. That and up farther north near Mendocino and Ft Bragg.

That tramway is very cool. I did it in the later fall once. You start out in the desert and end up in a Alpine like climate at the top traveling through about four different climates. We came back down after the sun had set and the lights of the Palm Springs area was spectacular.

Yes, we did drive through Big Sur, but couldn't see much as it
was very foggy.

Indeed it is. 😀

Wendell and I rode it in Sept 1993 when I was 8 months pregnant. Talk about double vertigo!! But it definitely was beautiful up there, and coming back down as well. :-$

Sounds like a fun Trip. I love that coastal drive from SF to LA. And of course Disneyland is the happiest place on earth... ..Nearly the most expensive too ;^)... We'd like to plan a return trip there to revisit Hearst Castle a few mores times and stay in a few of the great B&B's in the Santa Ynez wine country.

Thanks for sharing.
