I appreciate all the posts made to the original post- alot of interesting views...
So -I heard back from the surveyor- approached him professionally but expressed my disappoint in what I saw on the ground and on his plat.
He is having a crew go back on site today to locate the iron rods I recovered at the rear corners, revising his plat to the lender and sending me a copy. I have a feeling he will be accepting the rods in the front.

Great!! That is how the system is supposed to work.
That is the way it is supposed to work, and I'm glad it did in this case. I remember one where I practically begged the guy, someone I had known for years, to please revise his ALTA survey before the BOR saw a copy and suspended his license, again. Nope, not going to do it. Self destructive is the word.
