Spring has definitely arrived here in North Georgia.?ÿ According to the scale used by allergy specialists anything above 90 particles per cubic meter is "High", anything above 1,500 is "Extremely High".?ÿ Today's count was 4660 particles per cubic meter.

Snow cover just about gone here in the valley.?ÿ Still a bunch on the mountain.?ÿ Pollen blows in from lower elevations. Not so bad yet.

According to the allergists the pollen we "see", that yellow stuff that covers the cars, tables, puddles, etc. is NOT what causes our allergic reactions.?ÿ The size of those particles is too large to be any trouble.?ÿ It's the small stuff that bothers us.

Mine too.?ÿ I've always blamed it on the elm trees in the 'hood because the "haze" always corresponds with their blooming...but I have nothing technical on which to hang that theory.

That visible green is formed when there is enough humidity to make the small particles combine into a small ball.
When it gets enough sunshine it all becomes super fine and the slightest breeze or simply waling around will cause it to follow you and will scatter it everywhere.
I've taken 10mg HCl tablets for years that has taken care of the conniption fits of uncontrolled sneezing and eye watering.
It still collects in my sinus and must be dealt with by inhaling some saline water from time to time.
