Wow. Absolutely stunning pics of the church!!! It looks so gorgeous that it just doesn't seem real!! What are those people selling in the booths by the church?

I saw the little "taco" sign and "pizzeria" sign there in that alley and it made me chuckle. 🙂

This is neat; we all get to live vicariously through your photographs. It's like going on a virtual tour. Maybe someday Wendell and I will get to go to that part of the world. He'd love to see Czech and Italy for me. :bye:

http://www.nevadasurveyor.com/krakow4 was not working when I tried to go to it. "Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server." is all I get. Darn. I wanted to see page 4.

Enjoy and stay warm! Can't wait to see the next batch of photos.

I personally like winter and it looks like a great time to visit over there. Like you said, less crowds.

Daryl,
These are really some nice photographs. Well differentiated from a snapshot. Stunning to say the least. What type of camera are you using? Some photo's seem to have a "fisheye" flair.

As other's have said please keep the photo's comin'....very nice.

Now, with that said...you kinda looked bored in one...:)

Thanks for sharing!

I agree Angel- nice photos of the church.

However, I want to know more about the Taco joint in the last photo on page 1. What a great opportunity that would be, to try an authentic Krakow Takow!

The old churches overseas are ALWAYS so beautiful!

And ... did you visit a salt mine?
Or was that a pub/tavern in an old salt mine?

Also, try to stay away from their holiday czarnina zupa (soup) ... it's supposed to bring you good luck the next year. My mother keeps wanting me to "try it" and when I do the answer is always the same ... I STILL don't like it (shiver shiver yuck).

(The glassware in Prague was beautiful!)

Oh man...just got back from Auschwitz... Yesterday I was in that church in the main square going wow...look what humans are collectively capable of....today I was in Aushwitz going ...wow..look what humans are collectively capable of....

...without checks and balances that crap is always on the cuff... Levels of hate and indifference that knows no
boundaries..

...horizontal snow...strong winds...low temps...made it all the colder....In a USSR type of way

Okay...lighten up Daryl...
Krakow friggen rocks... Some 300 pubs...all underground ...in nooks and crannies with varying personality.... The photo of the one with the tree root was actually what I think may have been a Sewer pipe in disguise....this place was a Morracan pub... And looked Like fabrics etc on pipes...
... Poland in the winter

Default camera lens 10-22 mm semi fisheye zoom on a Canon 40D
But I have fun with the iPhone cam
as well....
...konking out here...I'll post some more photos...Warsaw

Daryl,

Stunning pictures, as always!

Just out of curiosity are you addicted to snow and freezing weather?

If it “plunges” into the 60’s (F), we have to crank up the heater and the fireplace (complete with fake logs, which “supposedly” burn for three hours, [they don’t]).

Thanks for the post, and have a great weekend! 🙂

True Corner ...

Yes, that's the one - to stay away from ! lol

And this "advice" is coming from someone who is pretty open minded and this past Friday was impressed with the taste of smoked beaver. Now, I'm not going to "catch" a beaver, clean one or even cook one but the chef did really well with his technique! If I'd have had a hamburger bun that would have made a nice sandwich.
