Hey guys... Sorry i have not been around much!! I have been extremely busy with almost back to back dying patients. They have all passed away, but...I wanted to share a story with you regarding what we did on Monday for one of my patients. Rarely can I do this due to privacy issues, but this time I have official permission!! ????

A younger patient of mine was dying quickly, loved Mustangs, and hadn't seen any in YEARS.

I saw patient on Thursday, realized that patient didn't have many days left, came home, whined at Wendell and my friend Karen for help to figure out a way to let patient see some Mustangs for one last time.

Between Wendell, Karen and a few others, we had 7 Mustangs show up on Monday to greet him and his caregivers.

My patient was wheeled outside, saw the Mustangs AND his favorite nurses, caregivers and our drivers lined up for him, and lit up with the biggest smile!!! His dad hadn't seen that smile in 20+years!!

Seven Mustangs then escorted my patient from care facility to home, with Yoshi leading the way.
(Yoshi = Wendells Green Mustang)

The lady driving the Escort Van said that my patient smiled the ENTIRE trip, kept looking out the windows, hearing their engines and seeing them all follow him.

After we got to the home, I stayed with my patient, his dad, and a few others, and talked Mustangs, life, etc...
Patient was in tears that all of those Mustangs showed up just for him! (So were the rest of us.)

We were all holding his hands as he slipped away, into Mustang Heaven, wearing his Mustang T-Shirt. ???????

This Mustang painting in the photo is from the patient, given to my husband, as Wendell had a very similar Mustang when Wendell was in his early 20s. ????

@holy-cow I kinda thought that... and had we had the horse version of Mustangs, or the P-51 versions, they would have been there. ????

Yes, you definitely done good, Angel.

One should lead their life such, that at their funeral, there are more mourners than cheerleaders celebrating one's departure.
