Had our first power outage for about 10 minutes just before noon. Power is back on my A/C is off and expect it to re-occur around 3PM. How long that lasts, who knows, but plans are for a cold supper. I've got plenty of Wunderbar bologna.

88° At Noon In Arkansas

It is 88 now. We are starting to think about getting out some blankets and fleece jackets. The humidity is about 85% though. We are expecting a high of 90 today.:-)

100° At One In PA, Cooling Back Down to 97°

Had a short power outage a few minutes ago. Humidity is only 30%. If it continues to cool? we might just get through today.

Tomorrow looks to be the same. The corn was well over our head by the 4th of July and is now starting to curl. Chance of rain Thursday through Sunday and we need it.

Raining here, temps about 80°, taking the day off and moved the thermostat to 75, just the fan blowing for the moment. No freon poisoning for me, thank you, will just make tomorrow's 95 plus and 85 per cent humidity even worse.

Ironically it's only 88° down here in Middle Florida now, with only 60% humidity it merely feels like 94°. Which is way better than last week.
If you can stay in the shade it's not that bad.

99° At Three In PA, Power Is ?

Had an 8 mph wind from the NW for a while. It shifted around to the E and slowed down. It's gone up 0.7° since I started posting this message.

Actually now 99.1 vs the 98.1, the wind direction indicator did a full 360° plus turn at 0 mph. I've got some minor chores to do outside???

83° In Midland

Awfully cold summer we're having. I might have to break out the woolen undergarments. They say it will be in the 60s tonight. What are you yankees doing with all our warmth?

Who you calling a yankee?

Virginia is on the right side of the Mason-Dixon line!

Our power went out around 9:30 this morning just for 30 seconds. It always happens when it is really hot. I worry a bit about the aging infrastructure.

South side, right (as in correct) side - no difference.

Peaked At 101° Now Down To 98.6°

I think that breeze from 1-2 PM kept us from blowing a gasket. Power grid stayed intact. Humidity down to 27%. Working outside in the shade without breaking a sweat.

This is ideal weather for my wife's project for me, "Gee honey since we don't want to run the A/C we can finish the picture window drapery rods". Been scrubbed down clean, wire brushed and steel wooled. Now a splash of flat enamel and they should be dry enough to restring and add the new drapery hanger holder gizmos tonight.

I am out to another surveyor's office tomorrow and Thursday.
