Howdy!
I know that this forum transition has been difficult for many but we have already made a lot of progress toward getting things back to "normal". It hasn't always been a giant ball of fun for me either, but I see the potential for the future. If you would like to report a bug or request support, please post in the Support & Bug Reports forum. If you'd like to request a new feature, please use our new Feature Requests forum.
PLEASE POST ONE REQUEST OR ISSUE PER TOPIC! Piling a bunch of issues into a single post makes it difficult for me to track all the bugs and/or feature requests. Help me help you.
DON'T BE A JERK WHEN ASKING FOR SUPPORT! Some people are rude, nasty, and offensive when they ask for support. If you don't get any replies from me when you act like a spoiled child, don't be surprised. I totally expect and welcome constructive criticism and requests for help, but you should be respecting Rule #1 at all times, no matter where you are posting in the forum.
Anyway, I thought I'd give you an update on the updates and a little insight on upcoming updates.
New! Feature Requests Forum
As mentioned above, I've added a new Feature Requests forum. Please use this for requesting new features after you have reviewed the existing requests. If a request for the feature you want already exists, please show your support by clicking the like button associated with the original post and (optionally) post a supporting reply. Visit the Feature Requests forum here:?ÿ https://surveyorconnect.com/community/feature-requests/ (you must be logged in to view and use the support forums)
New! User Menu
The top navigation menu has been updated to show your avatar and display name when you are logged in. If you are not logged in, the menu will simply show options to login, register, or reset your password. Please note that the avatars aren't working properly quite yet, but that will be fixed soon. The primary goal was to make it more clear when you are logged in (or not), which IMHO is an important usability feature, so I didn't want to wait until we fixed the avatar issue to implement it.
New! User Mentions
We've implemented a "lite" version of user mentions. You can now mention other users in posts using the @nicename shown under each user's avatar in the forum. We plan to improve this in the future to make it easier to use.
You can also identify a user's "nicename" when you are visiting their profile page by looking at the address bar in your browser.
New! Emoji / Smilie Selector
You can now choose an Emoji to insert into a post using the built-in Emoji dropdown selector in the post editor.
New! Polls in Posts
You can now add a poll to your posts. Just click the "Create Polls" link at the bottom of the post editor window (next to "Attach Files").
Multiple Bug Fixes and Improvements
There are a crapload of bug fixes and improvements that have been made since the big update a couple of weeks ago. I'll continue to monitor the support forums, but I need your help -- PLEASE review the support forums before creating new posts -- if the issue or request has already been made, you can like that post or add a reply to show your support. It really helps me to keep a to-do list running and I can mark them as solved when completed.
Upcoming Updates
The biggest feature we are working on right now are the recent posts/topics lists. I realize the value in having a list that shows the latest topics based on the dates of the latest posts/replies within those topics. Right now, that feature has the highest priority. But it may take me a little while to figure it all out and implement it properly. This means building, testing, troubleshooting, and then finally implementing. Hang in there, I know it's a critical feature of the forum.
We're also working on a new posts feature, wherein you can view a list of the topics/posts that are new to you. As with the recent topics list, we need to build, test, and troubleshoot prior to implementation, but also realize it is a critical feature of the forum.
Thank You!
Seriously, thank you for your patience. I know the update involved some pretty crazy changes and I know that some features were lost temporarily during the transition. But in the long run, it will be better for all of us. 🙂
Attaboys are hereby duly awarded ..........................................now that I had to log in for the first time in a couple of weeks
Thank you!
Ditto on the Thank you!
Things like this take time and dedication, and doing it for the love of surveying and web design, well, that makes things extra special!

I would like to complain, that it's too hard to complain... Satiricly yours!
Seriously, Wendell, if it's any comfort to you, it's a blessing, that you are keeping this forum going.
Merry Christmas!
