Now when you hover on the react icon (the monochrome thumbs up) in the lower left corner of a post's content area, you'll be greeted with a vertical column of reactions for that post. Like this:
On posts where others have already reacted, it will show the reaction icons that have been used, followed by the total number of reactions. If you are one of the users that have reacted, the monochrome thumbs up icon will be replaced by the reaction you used. Like this:
If you want to see how others reacted to the post, you can click on the number next to the icons; this will show you a summary of all reactions in a modal window. In that modal window, you can also click on each of the reaction icons to see only the users who reacted that particular way. Like this:
I've included icons for the following reactions:
- Like
- Dislike
- Love
- LOL
- Wow
- Grit (teeth)
- Cry
- Angry
- Cheers
Some notes about Member Ratings
I do plan to also (re)launch Member Ratings at some point, so here's some things to keep in mind when you react to others' posts:
- When you react with like, love, lol, wow, grit, cry or angry on someone's post, they receive 1 Member Rating point.
- When you react with dislike on someone's post, they lose 1 Member Rating point.
- When you react with cheers on someone's post, they receive 2 Member Rating points.
So, yes, you are assigning points to the authors when you react to their posts.
Other ways to earn Member Ratings points (as of today):
- Post a new topic: 2 points
- Reply to a topic: 1 point
Keep in mind that these points are currently accruing and are retroactive. They just aren't showing up anywhere yet.
You really do enjoy figuring stuff out , don't you?! So cool!
Great to be back, that speaks for the 2 sides of us. 👍
