Just thought I'd brag a little and tell you that my good buddy, David Souza and I will be the Keynote Speakers on Friday, May 20, 2011 during the luncheon.

Anyone here going to the Arizona conference? Maybe we can setup a meetup or two near the conference. We are looking around for nearby (hopefully within walking distance) brewpubs where we can get together and shoot the breeze. Any suggestions?

The conference is at:
Fiesta Resort Conference Center
2100 S. Priest Drive
Tempe, AZ

More information available at http://www.azpls.org

Hope to see you there! 🙂

What will you and Dave be talking about?

The Forum, continuing ed, scholarships...?

I won't be there of course but have a safe trip Wendell (and Dave).

Probably something innovative like training rats to find survey bars and to run around with little GPS units strapped to their backs to get the most accurate topo data possible.

I'll be there, Wendell... I'll be teaching for two days, so will be busy during the conference, but there's lots of free time once the projector is turned off. Would really look forward to spending some time with you and the rest of the entourage.

That's great Wendell. I can remember a time when you were reluctant to speak at the PLSO conference and now look at you. All grown up. 🙂

All kidding aside, you, Angel and Dave are doing a great job and providing a first rate service.

I'll admit, I'm still really nervous about it. But it is a lot of fun and I'm gradually getting better at speaking in front of people. That's always been a tough one for me and I finally decided it was time to face my fears and defeat them. I just did a webinar with Dave yesterday (thank you, That CAD Girl!) and I think it was pretty successful. Despite the lack of an in-person audience, I was still pretty nervous, but we got good feedback.

Anyway, enough about me. Who's going to the APLS Conference next month?

I'm planning on attending, Be working a temporary assignment out in the Phoenix area,
May-June-July. Roaming around the exhibits and possibly attending some of the presentations.
