Hi
my name is Daniel and i coming from Croatia (Europe).
I'm surveyor (ing.) and I look forward to interacting and learning from you guys.
I just wanted to say hello to all!
Welcome from New Mexico. Site back and enjoy. Lots of info and friendly people.
sent unknown location by me
Hello friend. Welcome. Enjoy.
Welcome, Daniel. We wish to learn from you as well. Tell us a bit about how land surveying works in Croatia. I have no idea about private land ownership and the transfer of property in the various countries of Europe.
It's lucky for you that most everyone else here, except me, doesn't understand what (ing.) means. They aren't ingenious enough to understand.
Welcome to the discussions.
Hi Daniel and welcome!
You will learn and have a delightful experience visiting this site. 🙂
Daniel-
Welcome from Canada.
Hope you have a well developed sense of humour.
Most of the persons posting here are boundary related experts.
How is land held by private persons and companies in Croatia ?
Is there a central land registration system ?
As to 'ing', here's the answer:

Howdy from NE Texas and welcome to the surveying watering hole we know as BeerLeg...
Now, feel free to openly ask and talk with us about anything surveying and share most any other interesting topic 😉

Welcome, Daniel! We're happy to have you here. 🙂
Those darned sneaky Canadians are always letting the cat out of the bag.

Note that the European form of the word 'engineer' derives from the mental side, i.e., ingenuity, rather than the mechanical side, i.e., engine.

Aloha, Daniel:
Welcome to this awesome forum!
Welcome aboard.
You might be our first member from Croatia.
First that I know of anyway.
E.
Well, we donå«t have central land registration system, we work on it.
In Croatia, at this moment, you got a 2 separate institutes ; Cadastre (shows you where your property is, shape...) and Public Court (give you a data who held a land - land ownership).
If you wanna make a transfer of property, you make a Contract with a seller, pay him, and then you submit documents to Public Court.
After checking your documents, Court give a order to Cadastre to change a owner.
Good to hear from you again.
Does all of your work involve boundaries or do you also do construction staking for buildings and roads?
You might want to connect with Kresmir Kusevic a Croatian I knew several years back. He is one of the most brilliant GPS data processors I have ever known. Quite knowledgeable about photogrammetry and lidar as well. A very adept all-around practitioner in the Geospatial community. I knew him on a Lidar project in Seoul, Korea. He has worked with Paul Mrstik, originally of Geosurv, for many years. I think he is currently with GeoDigital International of Hamilton, Ontario.
I did work with boundaries , construction staking and as a supervisor for roads.
Right now iå«m in Germany , doing some surveying on steel constructions.
Unfortunately i donå«t know who Kresmir Kusevic is, i only know that he was working on Faculty of Geodesy in Zagreb, Croatia.
