Enjoyed & learned lot of things from the forums over a year, specially about GNSS as a visitor. Just got on board. Hopefully want to start playing with them next year. Thanks for everybody contributed.

Well, in reference to another post, it's kangaroos that should watch out, and little Nelson should enjoy his Christmases while he can (fully intact).
?ÿ
Believe it or not, little Nelson was born in Nebraska.

Welcome, Nimal. ?ÿAs you have already discovered, this is a fun place to learn and share.
Hi gschrock,
Thanks for the respond & sorry for not getting back quickly. I'm trying to get some info for you & definitely going to useful to me as well. I'm glad you asked the question & it was an eye opener to me. I refer you to this link?ÿ http://www.icsm.gov.au/gda/DatumMattersFactSheet1.pdf for more info.
As to knowledge now we're in the transition period proposed to complete by mid 2018. By mid 2018 the CORS networks will provide RTK corrections based on GDA2020 coods. SMES( https://maps.land.vic.gov.au/lassi/SmesUI.jsp) now shows two control mark sketches with GDA94 & GDA2020 coods. But still Surveyor General Victoria Practice Directive referrers to GDA94. I'm waiting for a reply from the SG with more specific info.
As to available info the shift is plate fix upto 2020. Beyond 2020 proposed to be dynamic as to inline with WGS84.?ÿ?ÿ

Howdy and welcome to our charming little group! 😉 🙂
Nimal what sort of work do you undertake?
Melbourne! Spent a few holidays with daughter who lived there.
Could never imagine myself surveying there.
Not sure how you'd measure anything in that ?ÿhubbub of vehicle movements and congested city blocks.
Not my cup of tea at all.?ÿ
Thanks for the reply Richard. I work for Richard Carter (LS) in Melbourne. I'm on a PTA with him for registration. Richard accepts title re-establishments, small sub-divisions (2-10 Lot approx), Level & Feature surveys for planning permits & building permits. Sometimes we do building set outs for sub-divisions.?ÿ Mainly on Residential. We usually get jobs almost every suburb around Melbourne. But I haven't worked in the Melbourne CBD area. Richard says those kind of work to be done on Sundays or during night. Even in other suburbs its getting more & more congested every year. Traffic & parking is getting bad.?ÿ?ÿ
