Hey all,
I just wanted to give everyone the heads up. Both of the instruments below are stolen.
I actually bought the instrument previously. Once I won the auction I received the equipment number from the seller. The instrument is registered in MyWorld to Ames Construction (not the seller), and the sale suddenly did not include a case. Needless to say, I backed out of the sale. Now the seller has added a CS15 to the TS16........funny.

Anyway, steer clear.
Mick.
Thanks for the heads up, we actually got a great deal on a TS 16 full kit on eBay a few years ago, a PD was using it for accident reconstruction, and it was pristine, but before we bought it, we ran the serial number through our Leica dealer to make sure that it was legit. They were able to verify who bought it and had the maintenance agreement on it so that we could transfer it onto our Maintenace plan with Leica.
After you WON the five finger auction... didn't you get a notice showing their address and to pay? Or maybe you cannot see their address until you pay?
Hopefully the popo get 'em.
@timd1971 I won the auction, but the seller reached out before I could pay and said that there was no hard case. I played it cool and said no problem, but asked for the equipment number. She gave it it. Things started to heat up after I ran the numbers through MyWorld. I reached out to Ames Construction, who replied but didn't seem to care. I then asked the seller to send me a copy of their ID and it all went downhill from there.
I don't think the police know. I'm in Australia and she is in Texas, so I don't feel as though it is up to me to pursue that.
