First post on this forum. Looking for recommendations for equipment suppliers. I am going to need 2 robotic total stations a GPS rover and Machine control systems for two pieces of equipment. I'm in the Mid Atlantic region ( Northern Virginia, D.C. specifically).

Thanks for an recommendations in advance, Junious

If this happens to be CAT equipment I'd definitely be looking for the SITECH dealer nearest you. SITECH is a joint venture of Caterpillar and Trimble, and new CAT stuff comes pre-wired for Trimble machine control. Even if it's not CAT I'd still be looking at SITECH, as I'm a Trimble guy (even though I'm currently saddled with Topcon).

id' say it's more like the craigslist of surveying- replete with rants and raves, dubious items for sale, and maybe even some casual encounters...

Sorry to hear about the Topcon, I have been trying to get up with the SITECH guy in this area, awaiting a phone call from him. I have to get a few prices. Do you happen to have any exposure to Leica systems?

Not on the machine control side. But, being Leica, you can count on it being temperamental until you learn its idiosyncrasies after a miserable year or two. Then it will be awesome.
