Greetings to all! Anyone got any suggestions where are my biggest odds of finding a land surveyor job in USA as a foreigner interested in such a job?

The most challenging part of any answer would be the work visa process. The best answer for that would be through the embassy/consulate.

As to the willingness to hire someone from overseas, that can vary a lot. There are firms who do not want to deal with the requirements, uncertainties, and temporary nature of work visas. There are parts of the US where qualified local surveyors are having trouble finding work, and yet other parts where firms are having trouble finding qualified help. There are firms that are willing to accept work visa challenges as the person may be highly qualified. I know of firms who were eager to gain experienced staff, for example from some countries in the euro-zone, where the requirements to be a surveyor are quite high and the person may bring specific skills.

My advice would be to research the most difficult part first: the visa implications.

Thank you very much! You are my first reply since i have become a member. This site is outstanding and it looks so promising in all aspects of geodesy.

Someone on here will know something about almost anything you could possibly ask about. Sometimes only a handful will be able to help you. Sometimes you will be overwhelmed with the response. Welcome.
