The subject of merchandise came up yesterday... so my question is, what kind of merchandise would you prefer? Here are some sample ideas:
- Shirts
- T-shirts
- Long-sleeved denim shirts
- Polo shirts
- Trucker-style caps
- Ball caps
- Work hats
- Ceramic coffee mugs
- Plastic travel mugs
- Bumper stickers
- Small stickers
- Ballpoint pens
- Felt-tip pens
- Mechanical pencils
- Whatever you can think of
I would prefer to purchase USA-made products. That probably means they will cost a little more, but I am hoping everyone will be OK with that.
My first thought is t-shirts, to kick things off. What say you?
1 vote for USA Manufactured.
shirts will need tall sizes.
hats/caps other than one-size-fits-all (larger)
I'm a big fan of tee shirts (with a pocket), ball caps and koozies!
I like pens and pencils. My thoughts about shirts and hats have always been that I do not buy cloths to advertise for the company that I buy it from. Heck, I ain't real happy about having to buy company shirts, but they are paying me money so I do it. But buying Bud shirts or DisneyWorld hats, no. If they want to give them to me to advertise then I will buy them, otherwise I will stick to my plain colored T or, as I am getting older, my button down short sleeve shirt and a pair of jeans.
Made in the USA tee shirts, polo shirts, and ball caps.
i am very picky about the t shirts i wear. i am basically only wearing LL Bean now because of the comfort factor. i think people would pay more for a quality t shirt. a pocket is a must. gotta have someplace to store my compass.
next on my list would be a hat. make it something that is broken in already and super comfortable. light neutral colors. khaki, brown and green. offset the main color with a bright color. green/yellow, brown/orange, khaki/white.
B and L intertwined like the boundary line symbol on a plat and beerleg.com on the back strap.
I would say MADE IN USA First-
THis will be no small feat in itself- but I'd pay double money for that over chinese crap.
ball caps first- EMBROIDERED_ NOT decal
then t-s or denim shirts
then a mug-
let me know if you find a made in USA hat provider - we haven't located one yet-
I would support made in the USA
How about those three-in-one (stylus, pen, pencil) pens?
Beat me to it. I just spotted those. 🙂

Great pick, was about to suggest http://www.ultimatehat.com/ but not everyone prefers that style hat. A well made ball cap would have more appeal.
1. Ball cap
2. Denim shirt with logo.
3. Travel mug.
Beer mug, duh. Absolutely a beer mug.
Probably would not buy any of the stuff mentioned but I like the made in the USA requirement. I might buy a dedicated brass belt buckle or custom brass cap for office display. I have always considered "T" shirts as underwear and use them as such. Gave up ball caps years ago, they allow your ears and the back of the neck to get cooked when out all day. I went back to a full brimmed western hat, " felt or straw depending on the season", and no longer have the cooked ears and neck. I do wear a hat when outside as taught, at a very young age, they are a part of feeling fully dressed.
