I think the idea being that they are provided that representation (at the cost of the taxpayers) while they are being judged.
Sounds like their were some failures in the past, but it sure seems that most cases drag on for years now before there is a conviction. Can't even imagine letting appeals go on forever after all that expense.

The worst part about the childish P&R fiascos was that my favorite posters were the ones who engaged in those threads civilly and intelligently.
Paul was one of the good ones. We chatted on the phone one time. I was shocked when he sort of went after Wendell. That was not the same guy we all knew before that.

After I got to El Paso the need for a licensed surveyor arose and I was asked if I knew anyone . Thanks to this board , the old one , and the power of Facebook we have a PSA with CC now and come to find out, I am living about 2 miles from him. I know it is cliche but it really is a small world.
