Actually Wendell see that it is the search engines like Google Bing yahoo Firefox et al ad finitum and others getting ready to link to the site if someone does a search or whatever. When you search with your browser a robot is supplying you with the options.
They have no way of collecting your private information like email addresses unless you post them publicly.

I've spelled out my info like that in the past, but it is so common now that I'm afraid the bots will soon (if not already) be programmed to read that format.
