I've received a lot of feedback since the big upgrade regarding the whitespace when viewing a topic. Big thanks to Mark Silver, who was willing to spend the time to elaborate on the whitespace problem that several people had griped about. He wrote out descriptions of what he saw as problematic and sent several screen shots, marked up to show the areas that concerned him. He mentioned that he had to scroll a LOT in order to see more than a couple of posts at a time. I don't really have a problem with scrolling, so I guess the issue just didn't hit home with me. But Mark's explanation and screen shots showed me why it was a problem.
After we bounced several emails back and forth to discuss and troubleshoot the issues, I managed to cut down the dreaded whitespace quite significantly. I think you'll find that the list of posts in any given thread to be much more compact now. There probably are some more areas that could be improved to make it even better, but I think today's updates have made a huge difference.
If I may whine just a little bit.....
Can the button that shoots you back to the top of the page be moved around??ÿ No big deal on the desktop but on my tablet it's right in the area of the screen where I do my scrolling with my thumb.?ÿ Took me weeks to figure out why I kept getting shot to the top for no apparent reason.
