It is wonderful to see the number of responses to a given thread growing back to where it was before the paradigm shift to the newest version of RPLS.com. Proof of that is in the 24 responses, so far, to olemanriver's thead involving how to achieve a specific task involving a complex topo survey.
Thanks to all who are becoming more comfortable with the new "status quo".
I'll admit I was a bit nervous for awhile, especially when the server was slammed and no one could do anything. But you guys are amazing and sooooo patient. I really appreciate you all.
After Sunday, things should be significantly better and should stay there. 🙂
This site is coming along. Always with change growing pains. I am starting to find my way around. I still have not figured out how to like something but no big deal. The knowledge is the best. I figure by this time next year this thing will be as smooth as a cup of coffee on a brisk morning
There's no way to like posts/replies directly in the forums, at this time. It's on the roadmap though. The plan is to not just have likes, but also other reactions (love, cry, surprise, etc.).
You can, however, like activity feed items (home page).
I agree, new things take time to settle and for us all to learn. But I think this will finally be the long-term solution I've been hoping for (but couldn't justify until now).
Yeah I don’t understand or know IT stuff. But I think this will be good. I don’t worry to much about the cosmetics the heart of this is all the content and such and you have kept the wheels turning so all is good. Of course holycow is always in the mix and keeps me in check lol. Lots of good folks here that have helped me. I have no complaints.
You have to much time on your hands. I have added to my bucket list. If I ever get a chance to head out your way. I just would love to sit down and have a couple cups of coffee. I imagine you have a world of wisdom in that brain of yours. Have a good week. You keep me laughing. Now to fight my to the restroom. 1 bath home 3 ladies. I felt safer in a combat zone than I do here at times. It can get tricky.
It would be nice to have a way to easily or maybe even automatically quote someone.
