Forgive me please, Wendell, if this post is inappropriately placed, but I think it fits here.
What is it that the delicate and tortured souls who chose, for whatever reason, to ignore other surveyors actually see or not see?
For instance, what if I choose to ignore that known waste-of-time and low intellect poster @Mike Berry. If he started a thread would I not see it at all, or would I see responses to the thread but not the initial post, or...what?
Thanks for any enlightenment (I can't say how I'll use it :snarky:)
Don
Did someone say something or was that just my imagination?

That's the nicest thing anyone's said about me in a long time Don. My capabilities and talents are finally being recognized on a national level!

If you ignore users, you won't see their posts.
More importantly, do they see mine if I ignore them?
Nothing would be finer than being able to sling mud at will and not receive return fire. #thingshochimihnmightsay
Did Wendell ever respond?

If you ignore a moderator, can they ban you?!?!?!
if I choose to ignore that known waste-of-time and low intellect poster
By this definition, should we ignore the internet?

Am I entitled to know, who is ignoring me? I am officially ignoring no known poster, but then I may not respond to every post I see. What is my perspective or is it perception?
Can Wendell answer the question, "What is important?"?
Reminds me of an older friend in a club, who said,
"One year I was a senior in high school delivering newspapers. The next year I was pilot of a B-25 over Europe. The next year I was at home with my discharge papers, a few bucks, and I could not buy a beer."

But you can see responses to their post; is that correct?
Well, I haven't tested, but I suspect that if they are a thread starter, you probably wouldn't see the entire thread. But I don't know that for sure.
Ignoring means that you can't see their content but they can still see yours as normal. However, once you ignore someone, you can go to your account and see a list of people you are ignoring. There are links available there to see their content, just in case you decide to temporarily unignore them.
Also, you can't ignore staff. Neener.
Ignore staff? Hmmm I have seen Angels Whip! :_)
