Wendel,

Is there a way to look at and modify the support level for the site?
Yes, and also maybe show just how little we are actually contributing. ?ÿI realize that we are far short of the $100k per year that I feel you deserve.
Far short.
Wendel,

I don't currently have anything setup. However, if you are currently on a subscription and would like to change the amount or other parameters, please let me know and I'll cancel your previous subscription. Then you can start a new one at https://surveyorconnect.com/become-a-supporter/?ÿ
If your current subscription is through Patreon, I'd prefer that you cancel and re-subscribe with the link above anyway, if you don't mind doing that. Patreon takes a big chunk off the top -- the processing fees using our Supporter page are considerably less. I've been meaning to contact all Patreon subscribers about this, but just haven't found the time to do it yet.
In other related news, I'm looking at creating a new dashboard area where you can manage support subscriptions. Not sure when I'll get it done, but it's definitely on the short-term roadmap.
Thank you!

So I logged in to my Patreon account just now to see about canceling subscriptions as requested. What I shockingly discovered is that the processing fees had gone from 4% when I first setup the account to 8%. Holy crap!
I then discovered that I cannot unsubscribe people individually -- but I could delete the entire Patreon page, effectively stopping all subscriptions. So that's EXACTLY what I did. 8% is highway robbery and even if none of those subscribers start a new subscription here, I'm okay with that, just so we're not giving Patreon the satisfaction. I did a little research to figure out WHY they take 8% and I just couldn't find anything that made it worth my (our) while.
I then sent an email to all the subscribers to tell them that the Patreon account is gone, effective immediately, and thus their subscriptions are now terminated. If they would like to continue supporting us, we have our own form that only costs us about 3%.
So yeah... sorry if that is an inconvenience, but I don't want you to waste your money any more than you do.
@wendell Too late now, but two other groups I support on Patreon "suspended" their accounts. One because she was no longer writing the content she was originally and the other account because one of the content creators had died, and the other person was deciding whether to continue or not. That would have let you send a message out via the platform.?ÿ
Note to everyone else: I received Wendell's email and immediately moved to an annual donation via this website and upped the amount by a bit.?ÿ

There wasn't very many people in there, and it was easy to just copy/paste all the email addresses and send them an email using BCC. I thought about sending from Patreon, but figured I'd rather send a more personal email. 🙂
